To access your genius, you don't need to do anything.
All you need to do is be still.
Your body is the gateway to genius.
In your body, there are two main forces at play.
The first force is the creative impulse, which brings new ideas and insights into being.
The second force is the critical voice, which judges those ideas and insights.
Most of us have been trained by our education system, our family, and/or society at large to default to the critical voice. This can be useful for problem-solving and other professional situations, but when you're trying to tap into your creative genius, it's a roadblock that can keep you from seeing clearly.
The key here is presence—presence in your body, presence in your breath—because there's no way out of your head except through your body. You must learn to let go of the critical voice and allow yourself to open up and receive what wants to come through you. When you're present in this way, you're able to align with the flow of genius so that it can come through you unimpeded by judgment or doubt.
